7 takeaways from the Ravens’ 30-20 win over Washington The Baltimore Ravens finished the 2018 preseason 5-0 , and more impressively 13-0 in their last 13 preseason contests. Baltimore will now have to trim their 90-man roster down to 53 players by Saturday at 4:00 pm ET. They will have several difficult decisions to make, but there were a couple of critical takeaways from their 30-20 win over the Redskins.1. Bronson Kaufusi secured his roster spotKaufusi had, arguably, the best performance of his career. He posted ten total tackles, two sacks, and three quarterback hits. Kaufusi lined up at several different positions, which will only boost his roster stock. He was facing an uphill battle to make the roster, but he appears to have a more natural feel for the edge position. 2. Chris Wormley flashed his potential Wormley has seemingly been the forgotten man along the defensive line, but his roster spot was never considered to be in jeopardy. He picked up a sack and was vital in stopping the run. After a quiet rookie season in which he was a healthy scratch for nine games, Wormley could be poised for a more significant role in 2018. 3. WR/KR Janarion Grant won the returner competitionThe much-hyped kick return competition was underwhelming in the preseason finale. White made one critical mistake as he let a punt hit inside the 10-yard line, which could be the difference between making the roster and not securing a spot. Grant only had one punt return for 11 yards, but he did not do anything to lose ground in the competition.4. Kaare Vedvik will generate interest from other teamsKicker/punter trades are rare, but Vedvik has been impressive enough to warrant a trade. He has displayed solid ability both as a punter and a placekicker, and he will be on a 53 man roster as soon as this weekend. He was a perfect three-for-three on Thursday night, including nailing a 56-yard field goal.5. Lamar Jackson had another solid night Lamar Jackson’s development has been one of the biggest storylines of the 2018 preseason Womens Mark Andrews Jersey , and each game has been an improvement. Jackson finished with 109 passing yards, 25 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown. He had a couple of errant throws, including a poorly thrown ball to Breshad Perriman on a deep route that was nearly intercepted, but it was a step in the right direction for Jackson. His performance may have pushed Griffin III on the wrong side of the bubble.6. Carl Davis failed to make an impact during the 2018 preseasonDavis needed to have a big preseason to make the 53 man roster, and he failed to do that. His performances throughout the preseason were underwhelming. Davis was frequently stonewalled by opposing offensive lineman, and he showed how he has failed to develop into a starting caliber defensive lineman. 7. TE Mark Andrews showcased why Baltimore drafted himAndrews finished the night with three receptions for 61 yards. He showcased his reliable hands by making a couple of tight-window catches, while also displaying his speed on a long 45-yard reception. With Hayden Hurst expected to miss the first three or four weeks of the season, Andrews could see an increased role. One week is a long time in the career of a rookie quarterback, and for Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen, seven days made a big difference.A week after the four quarterbacks taken in the top 10 in this year's draft all lost, the young passers rebounded, made big plays and went 4-0 on Sunday. It wasn't always pretty. Mayfield was the only one of the four to throw for more than 200 yards C.J. Mosley Jersey , but his Cleveland Browns still scored just 12 points in 70 minutes of football in their overtime victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Mayfield, the No. 1 pick in the draft, went 25 of 43 for 342 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The other three completed 10 passes each.Darnold and Rosen completed less than 50 percent of their throws, although Darnold threw for three touchdowns in the New York Jets' 34-16 win over the Denver Broncos, including a 76-yarder to Robby Anderson."Every single week, we can do that," Darnold said. "I'm just really excited for next week."Aside from the 1987 strike season with replacement players, there have only been three other seasons in which four or more rookie QBs have won in the same week 鈥?1974, 2010 and 2012. It happened multiple times in 2012, including a week when five rookies were winners 鈥?Nick Foles, Robert Griffin III, Andrew Luck, Brandon Weeden and Russell Wilson.Allen went 10 for 19 for 82 yards and an interception on Sunday as the Buffalo Bills outlasted the Tennessee Titans 13-12.Allen is now 2-2 as a starter, while Mayfield improved to 2-1 and Darnold to 2-3.And Rosen got his first win in his second career start since he took over for Sam Bradford, throwing a 75-yard touchdown pass to Christian Kirk on Arizona's first play from scrimmage. He didn't do much the rest of the way Youth Brandon Carr Jersey , going 10 of 25 for 170 yards, but he avoided mistakes as the Cardinals beat the injury-riddled San Francisco 49ers 28-16.Rosen, the outspoken former UCLA player, was the last of the four rookies drafted, and he said the other teams made mistakes when they didn't take him. He was also the last to make his debut this season. But the Cardinals' starting job is his to lose now.Allen took over for the ineffective Nate Peterman in the Bills' first game, a blowout loss to the Ravens, and has started ever since. Darnold opened the season as the starter but was on a three-game losing streak before the Jets came through on Sunday.Mayfield has been the splashiest thus far, bringing excitement to Cleveland that befits his status as the top pick. His only loss since taking over for Tyrod Taylor was a 45-42 overtime shootout at Oakland last week."We have a team right now that is starting to believe in themselves, and rightfully so," Mayfield said. "I take a lot of pride in the culture change and being positive, always moving forward and doing your job no matter what the situation is. That was big for us."
